Job Title : Cognos Developer
Location : Sunrise, Florida
Duration : 3 month contract to hire
MUST HAVES:
4+ years working with Cognos BI (2+ years should be with version 8 or 10)
1+ years working with Framework Manager
5+ years working with reporting and cube technology
4+ years of creating SQL queries and building reports off of SQL databases
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
Microsoft Office
PLUSES:
Cognos Transformer, Metrics Manager, and Event Studio
Previously worked in a Healthcare environment
Understanding of Accounting concepts
Knowledge of Cognos Planning or TM1 systems
Role:
Our client is looking for a junior to mid-level Cognos developer/analyst to produce reports and dashboards using Report Studio. This would include cross-tab reports off an OLAP datasource, using macros and parameters, applying drill-up/drill-down/drill-through functionality, blasting for email distribution, multi-prompt pages, complex calculations, conditional blocks and variables, templates, and master-detail reports. You will also create ad-hoc reports using Analysis Studio and Query Studio. More so, you would provide user support for Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Query Studio and supply alternative methods of using the tool when users have issues. If you were unsure, you would research solutions using the Cognos user guides, IBM knowledgebase, or other internet forums. On a daily basis, you would develop and maintain Framework Manager Models and packages based on report requirements while creating and maintaining user security groups/roles and object security in Cognos Connection.
