Job Description:
Position Summary:
Our client has an urgent 6-12+ month consulting assignment for an IT Project Manager in Columbus, GA. He is upgrading the user experience for many of their banking interfaces and the
immediate need is around the development, roll out and scheduling of these changes on their ATM network.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
· Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all project targets and requirements are met.
· Work with the team to define new ATM workflows.
· Schedule roll-out of new software and hardware platforms, working with the technical teams to accomplish the task.
· Present status updates to upper level and executive management teams.
· Take 100% ownership of the project.
· Defines scope and objectives for projects based on customer needs.
· Responsible for assembling project plans, monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating functional, quality, or timeline
issues appropriately.
· Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
· Serves in a senior capacity, providing work/task related direction and advice to junior team members.
· Ensures that technical projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Project Manager Basic Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline.
· 5 to 8 years of IT Project Management experience.
· Advanced Knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and resource management practices.
· Proficient in Microsoft Project & Visio.
· SDLC & PDLC Methodologies.
· Ability to drive large and complex IT projects to successful completion.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work successfully on cross-functional teams.
· Previous banking and / or financial institution experience.
PMP Certification strongly preferred
Other:
· Any offer of employment will be contingent on the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
· Valid Driver's License Required.
· Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Degree Required:
· BA/BS.
