Position      :  Java Front End Developer
Location     :  Columbia,MD
Duration     : 4 + month Contract
 
Must Haves:
8 years of full implementation projects
5 years of experience with high level language and modern development tools
5 years of object oriented programming experience

 

Experience in Web page design and development (HTML/CSS/Javascipt)
Experience with jQuery and JavaScript
Expertise in developing web based applications using JAVA (EE 6)
Expertise with Spring Framework including Core, MVC, ORM and AOP
Experience (or Expertise) with JSP and Servelts
Experience (or Expertise) with CSS and HTML
Experience (or Expertise) with AJAX
Experience working in a software source controlled environment using CVS
Experience (or Expertise) localizing / Internationalization of JAVA applications (involving text and images) -- including creating unit test suites
Experience in web development including mobile websites (including Android, iPhone, iPAD)
Experience with the different language character set (e.g. Spanish Characters)
Expert knowledge in the different implementations of J2EE; and on various web browsers (including IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari)

 

Pluses:
Experience hosting applications using JBoss (5.0.1) application server -- clustered
Experience using Ant and a JAVA based IDE like Eclipse

 

Role:
Programmer will design, develop, and maintain source code to meet user requirements and integrate enterprise business systems within a portal environment.

 

Under limited supervision, the programmer will be a part of a development team involving internal IT personnel and other contractors.

 

Ensures that sound software engineering principles and life cycle methodologies are applied. Actively involved in systems architecture design, application software design, database process design, and all phases of coding including the conduct of design and code reviews.
