Position      :      Websphere Portal Administrator
Location     :      Nashville, TN
Duration     :      12+ Months contract
 
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Experience working in RedHat Enterprise Server environments
3 to 5 years experience supporting Websphere Process Server (WPS)
Experience supporting IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
Strong communication skills and ability to work with a small but diverse team a must
Available for after hours support via 7x24 rotations

 

Desired
Experience using ISA (IBM Support Assistant) to gather and submit information for IBM PMR.
Experience interacting directly with IBM WebSphere Support
Experience scripting in bash

 

Position Requirements:
The System Administrator is responsible for supporting Websphere Process Server in Dev, QA, and Production environments.  This includes providing operational support from built in functions controlling WPS as well managing WPS environments from command line Linux environments.  The System Administrator needs to have a strong understanding of Linux environments and troubleshooting techniques, experience with supporting JAVA/J2EE application servers, basic network concepts, and bash scripting methods.
