Job Title  : Cognos Developer
Location : West Palm Beach,FL
Duration : 6 Month Contract to hire

 

Must Have:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or Accounting / Finance
5 years of experience as a Cognos Developer
Advanced knowledge of TM1 TI Processes and TM1 Rules
Previous experience in the use of Cognos TM1 in support of planning efforts within an organization
Significant experience within TM1 9.5.2 and one of the following: Cognos BI, SAP Business Objects, Oracle OBIEE, Microstrategy, Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS)

 

PLUS:
Prior experience in the deployment and/or administration of TM1 environment a plus
Microsoft SQL Server development experience desired
Retail and wholesale industry experience a plus

 

Day to Day:
The ideal candidate will support the architecture and development of analytics solutions leveraging IBM Cognos TM1 for TBC. Candidates should maintain experience within an environment integrating TM1 against a standard Business Intelligence (BI) suite (Cognos preferred) â€" with hands-on Cognos BI development experience a plus, but not required. This role will be a key contributor within the TBC Business Intelligence team in the long-term oversight and support of our strategic BI portfolio.

 

Primary Responsibilities
Leverage Cognos TM1 in the modeling of enterprise data and in the creation of enterprise and analytical reporting needs
Facilitate the analysis of reporting needs (functional and technical), identifying effective reporting techniques and data structures which integrate with TM1
Create design and technical specifications and develop against those specifications based on upon understand business functional requirements
Develop TM1 applications / cubes in support of established business needs
Support business and project team members in the training, review, and support of reporting and analytics platforms â€" with significant focus on the areas of Finance and Sales / Marketing
Develop TI processes and TM1 rules / feeders in support of extending existing and in support of new TM1 solutions and applications
Develop, execute, and facilitate issue resolution against formal test plans
