Position:          Java Architect

Location:          Herndon, VA

Duration:          6 Months

Rate:                DOE

 

Job Description:

·         10+yrs Design and Architecture using object-oriented methodologies.

·         10+ yrs experience in Java Development, experience as senior-level Java developer/analyst required.

·         10+ yrs experience with Oracle or SQL Server development.

·         8+ year experience with web services, service based development, XML/XSD.

·         10+ yrs experience as systems analyst/designer.

·         4+ years experience developing SOA Applications using BEA Technical Stack.

·         2+ years experience integrating distributed Applications including .NET, J2EE, and   Client/Server Applications.

·         Hands-on experience with model-driven development preferably using IBM Rational Software Architect or Sparx Enterprise Architect.

·         10+yrs Experience with developing and deploying J2EE components within Oracle   Weblogic Server.

·         5+ yrs Experience with Spring and Hibernate.

·         6+yrs experience with development of Java-based framework and open source technology.

·         5+ yrs Experience with development tools such as Eclipse and Maven.

·         8+yrs Exposure to Agile (TDD) methodology.

·         Comfort maintaining source code control system preferably Subversion or CVS.

·         Working knowledge with automated build server preferably Cruise Control, AntHill, or Hudson.

·         Ability to create cost-estimates and software/system development Business Cases.

·         Should have excellent communication, negotiation, decision making, and problem solving skills.
