Duration     :  6 month contract

COBOL Programming - Expert
Z/OS environment - Expert

 

Explanation for Position:
This requisition is for a Technical Specialist position for the Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI) group. The candidate will work on the mainframe developing in
IBM's Gentran.

 

Details of Position:
The candidate will be involved in every phase of the Systems Development Life
Cycle. He/She must be able to interpret business and functional requirements into
technical solutions utilizing existing methods. The candidate must have excellent
analysis and design skills. He/She must be able to create detail technical
specifications, code complex programs, effectively work with the Gentran software,
create thorough test scripts, support testing efforts, and have very good problem
solving skills. He/She must have excellent mainframe, Gentran, COBOL, JCL, MQ,and
Easytrieve skills. Minimum of two years of Gentran is a must.

 

Management Skills:
The candidate must be able to work in a team environment consisting of but not
limited to business analysts, quality assurance analysts, user representatives from
multiple functions, external groups and support groups. Excellent verbal, written and
listening skills are necessary.
