Position      : Network Engineer
Location     :  Austin,TX
Duration     : 7 months contract

 

Must-haves
experience setting up and maintaining a network (Cisco environment)
experience with ASA firewalls
any experience with creating and executing test cases
experience setting up and administering Linux boxes
 Cisco Netflow

 

Plusses
CCNA
experience with software testing
Security threat background
Spirent, Ixia, Breakingpoint tool usage

 

Role
This candidate will be responsible for setting up a network to run tests for a new security product. Day to day responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
setting up network equipment (routers, switches and firewalls)
generating threats on the network
making changes to the environment to see how the threat detection software responds
administering the firewalls
Responsible for test design and development across multiple products within a product suite (head-end/endpoint integration within Network Security).
Design complex test environments that can accommodate both QA test needs and customer use case testing
Analyzes metrics for quality trends before and after releases
