Position      :  SSAS Developer
Location     : Miami preferred but can be ATL
Duration     :  1 year contract

 

Must Haves:
At least 3 years of development experience with SSAS using Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
At least 3 years of report and Report Model development experience with SSRS using Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) against SSAS or SQL Server databases
Knowledge of MDX statements and functions to create complex calculations
At least 3 years of database experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 R2 including client tools such as Microsoft’s SQL Server Management Studio
At least 2 year of experience using SharePoint 2007/2010  and its Business Intelligence’s components, in particular, deployment and hosting of SSRS reports and Report Models in Integrated Mode, and Excel Services
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required

 

Plusses:
VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, and JavaScript programming experience
3 years of data warehouse’s modeling, design, and development experience
Knowledge in fundamental concepts and practices of Business Intelligence, OLAP, data warehouse design based on Ralph Kimball’s architecture, and multidimensional and relational reporting and analysis
Knowledge of Microsoft’s Team Foundation Source
Masters Degree in a related field

 

Role
Gain a thorough understanding of the requirements and ensure the plan includes tasks that address each of them
Collaborate with team members to identify project risks, design mitigation plans, and development estimates
Design, develops, tests, documents, and implements SSAS, SSRS, and SharePoint solutions based on design documentation provided by BI department
Works within established development guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions
Participate in quality assurance and testing activities according to planned schedules
Perform technical support activities required for execution of test plans
Perform root cause analysis and defect correction as indicated by test results
Evaluate outcomes, report results and document findings according to current standards
Ensures work product aligns with customer requirements
