Position : SharePoint Architect

The selected candidate will:
Assist in building an architectural prototype which uses FAST for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to crawl content from 3 sources ( Open Text, a File Share, a SharePoint Team Site) and extract related metadata from a cube in the SAP Business Warehouse to return search results in a SharePoint Web page. The graphical interfaces for the search prototype will involve: entry of text in fields, a navigable tree structure built off of a SharePoint Refiner and an ESRI Web based map. Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer to other team members.
Facilitate requirements gathering , design sessions and documentation of a solution architecture for the ultimate deployment of the FAST for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 into a production environment to support 3 Search scopes: Internet, Extranet, Intranet (to include multiple searches implemented across various content clusters)
Facilitate requirements gathering , design sessions and documentation of a solution architecture for the expansion of the existing Microsoft SharePoint 2010 production implementation to include analysis and best practices related to Content Deployment , Workflow Management and Operational Management including triage and escalation processes.
Develop custom web services prototype that interacts with Open Text web services API and SharePoint workflow to perform content rendition. Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer to other team members.
Act as SharePoint design & integration technical consultant with other projects & initiatives and their architects including but not limited to NCDOT Web Services, GIS, SAP & Open Text Environment in order to support an Enterprise Integration Approach.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Required:
Experience implementing FAST for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 with multiple external content sources including Shared Drives and preferably Open Text using +metadata extraction from external sources (preferably SAP Business Warehouse), using web services, XML file ingestion or database queries
Experience with developing custom document processing capabilities in FAST using the SharePoint Pipelines Extensibility Web Services (PEWS) framework
Experience designing Microsoft FAST Search for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 architectures including sizing, scaling and all other aspects of a solution architecture
Experience designing Microsoft SharePoint 2010 architectures including sizing, scaling and all other aspects of a solution architecture
Experience with ESRI, SharePoint and Silverlight
Minimum of three (3) years experience administering SharePoint (2007 & 2010)
Minimum of three (3) years experience - NET development or application architecture
