Role:                OBIEE Developer

Location:          Geneva Switzerland

Duration:          5-6 Months

Rate:                $/hr on C2C + Expenses

 

Our Client has an opening for a Senior OBIIE resource for a project in Geneva Switzerland supporting a commercial client. Candidates will need to be very professional and have the ability to work in an executive level OBIEE 10g to 11g migration project.

At least 10 years experience.

This position will be for 5-6 months and the candidates will be expected to reside in Geneva for the majority of the project. Travel must be restricted to one trip away per month' maximum. Please present an expense inclusive rate for proposed resources. Candidates should have a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without issue. Job Description:

Non-technical must have skills include:

·         Assist with the conversion of existing reports from OBIEE v10 to OBIEE v11 utilizing the enterprise BI infrastructure toolset.

·         Serve as the subject matter expert in OBIEE v11;Demonstrating expertise in Administration of Oracle BI Server, Oracle BI Answers, Oracle BI Interactive Dashboard, and Oracle 

      BI Publisher, BI Delivers.

·         Gathers requirements; coordinates and participates in development activities and support the testing and implementation of migrating and building OBIEE reports and dashboards.

·         Diagnose and resolve defects in development of OBIEE Dashboards/Reports.

·         Understand, design and develop OBIEE solution components and reports/dashboards, including:

      o    Report and dashboard creation.

      o    Analytics integration.

      o    Create BI Publisher Reports (where recommended).

      o    Create reports as requested and design delivery mechanisms and proactive notifications (Delivers) for these reports, and provide on-going support (if required).

      o    Determine testing needed to ensure the functionality and integrity of reporting and dashboard solutions.

      o    Proactively work with members of the team to complete assigned tasks as defined by scope, timelines, and budgets.

      o    Create and maintain technical documentation (as required).

      o    Experience in both Presentation and Repository layers of OBIEE.

      o    Solid understanding of best practices for dashboard development and data visualization techniques.

      o    Ability to interpret requirements and technical specifications and translate them into visual representations of information.

      o    Good Oracle PL/SQL development experience.

      o    Knowledge of database architecture and design for Business Intelligence.

      o    Solid understanding of ETL processes and procedures.

      o    Experience working within a structured change control environment.

·         7-9 yrs experience in data warehouse development and/or BI front end development.

·         5 or more yrs of consulting experience in OBIEE /Siebel Analytics product suite.

·         Must have experience completing at least 1-2 OBIEE v10 to OBIEE v11 migrations.

·         Good working knowledge of PL/SQL and development tools (E.G. Toad).

·         Should have worked in OBIEE Multiple User Development Environment (MUDE).

·         Experience in both Presentation and Repository layers of OBIEE.

·         Solid understanding of best practices for dashboard development and data visualization techniques.

·         Ability to interpret requirements and technical specifications and translate them into visual representations of information.

·         Experience working within a structured change control environment (DEV to QA to PROD).

·         Good working knowledge of basic Business Processes and identification of KPI-s and Metrics.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred.

The following are also strongly desired but not required:

·         Background on data models of JDE Edwards 8.12 ERP.

·         Working knowledge of ETL tools and functionalities (Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Data Integrator, Business Objects Data Integrator).

·         OBIEE/Siebel Analytics certification.
