Role:                Solutions Architect

(1)  Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
Understand and provide architecture solutions based on customer needs. Analysis, Design, Development of complex solutions. Develop and implement short and long term plans to pro-actively ensure stability, performance and scalability. Work with Architects, project managers and senior managers by providing appropriate inputs to complete the project in time that fits to the solution design and architecture. Review ongoing projects from an architectural adherence and best practices perspective. Work as a consultant during initial phase of project along with sales, presales and project teams Involve in technical grooming of the practice trainings, mentoring and hiring. Contribute in presales activities wherever required
(2) Competencies – Technical / Functional / Behavioral /Interpersonal
Technical Expertise: The candidate should have Hands-on experience with: 1.    Core Java 2.    Spring (IoC, MVC, Security, AOP) 3.    Hibernate 2.0 & 3.0 4.    Web Services (JAX-WS, RESTful, Spring Web Services) 5.    JMS 6.    UML 7.    XML(XSD) 8.    Java and JavaEE design patterns 9.    SOA architecture 10.  Maven/Ant 11.  JUnit 12.  JavaScript and Ajax 13.  WebLogic App Server (version 9 and higher) 14.  Strong Knowledge in Relational database(Oracle) 15.  Expertise in performance tuning and security implementation 16.  Heterogeneous enterprise applications involving technologies of multiple platforms, preferably Microsoft and JavaEE Exposure to: 1.    LDAP General Principles 2.    Code coverage tools(Cobertura/Sonar/CodePro) 3.    Oracle Identity Manager 4.    XML(XPath, XSLT) 5.    HTML, DHTML and CSS Knowledge on: 1.    Rules Engine –Drools 2.    ExtJS 3.    Sonic ESB 4.    Microsoft VSTO/Smart Client 5.    Oracle coherence cache/EHCache Functional, Behavioral & Interpersonal Expertise: Accountability, Problem solving & Reasoning Business Intelligence and Awareness Continuous learner & Self motivated Excellent communication, Interaction and presentation skills Ability to manage and lead teams
(3)  Level of interaction - External & Internal
External: Discussions with client. Internal: Team members, Architect, Delivery Managers and other senior managers.
(4) Education / Experience / Skill sets
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology or MCA. Total of 12 – 16 years of experience including 9 years of experience as a Solution Architect. Subject matter expert ( preferably Financial domain)will be an advantage.
