Role:                Sr. Software Developer

Location:          Brooklyn, NY

Duration:          6 Months.

Rate:                $/hr on C2C All Incl.

Responsibilities of Software Developer II:

·         As part of a cross-functional software team, The Software DeveloperI will be commissioned with delivering new and innovative platforms, products, and/or product functions for schools, 

      districts, and states across the country.

·         Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software forour technology platform and full suite of products.

·         Contribute to continuous improvement of software development best practices in the areas of coding tools, languages and APIs, as well as software design and development processes.

Requirements of Software Developer II:

·         BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

·         3-5 years of professional experience with Object Oriented Programming, preferably in Java or Objective-C.

·         Strong CS fundamentals (OO, algorithms, data structures) and fluency in at least one other OO or scripting language such as Python, C++, C#, or Ruby.

·         Taste for simplicity and elegance in technical design and implementation as well as an appreciation for test driven development and building software the right way.

·         Open source contributions.

·         Advanced front-end skills.

·         Mobile experience is preferred; Android or IOS.

·         Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and expertise in SQL and PL/SQL is preferred.

·         Experience with server-side java technologies and major application servers is preferred.

·         Familiarity with UNIX tools is preferred.
