Position:          Business Analyst

Location:          Carrollton, TX

Type:                Perm

Salary + Bonus up to 26% of Salary, strong benefits.

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Freight Conversion (35%):

·         Constantly monitor prepaid/embedded lanes for conversion to profitable Collect or Client-managed lanes.

·         Constantly monitor preferred vendor changes for possible freight conversion opportunities.

·         Constantly monitor Collect lanes that are continuously losing margin and devise strategies to address the root cause.

·         Serve as lead communicator to suppliers on notification of freight conversions.

·         Negotiate directly with company suppliers and restaurants on matters related to freight pricing.

·         Resolve or create solutions on all matters related to freight pricing and freight conversion processes.

·         Provide lane level potential revenue feedback for backhaul conversions.

·         Work on continuous process improvement strategies for the extraction of freight rates from the various rate sources that are available.

Analytical Resource (35%):

·         Assist the Pricing Manager in ad-hoc analysis work related to the quarterly bid updates, the annual customer freight bid, new customer freight implementation and any 

      other types of project related work that may occur.

·         Support inbound freight conversions through use of ad-hoc reporting.

·         Work in collaboration with all divisions of company and Client to assess freight conversion opportunities.

·         Serve as resource for Client optimization and grouping purchase orders.

·         Provide key reports to Client Management related to freight loss and profitability.

Reporting and Process Ownership (30%):

·         Take ownership of daily processes related to M2 holds, system information updates and open PO updates.

·         Take ownership of weekly and periodic processes to run margin reports and all revenue-related financial reports by period.

·         Responsible for continuously honing these reports and processes to make them more efficient, timely and relevant. The main point of contact is to update the design of any    

      of these processes or reports based on new business needs.

·         Serve as direct contact for matters related to freight pricing disputes, updates, or adjustments.

·         Negotiate directly with Restaurant Co-Ops on matters related to freight pricing.
