Role:                LAN/WAN Integrator

Network System Administrator 3-Core

Location:          Austin, TX

Duration:          3-4months

 

Description of services:

The Network Administrator hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Network Administrator - Responsible for installing, networking technologies and supporting networks. Assesses existing network configurations and makes recommendations based on product specifications. Configures equipment and software to meet business needs, trains others on the solution, and documents the solution for ongoing support. Provides technical support and assists with the design of network solutions. Requires experience in the technical services and support field as well as experience in network administration (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.)

 

The selected Candidate will be required to perform all aspects of this job description.

·          Provide Network Administration services with a strong focus on compliance with NERC CIP regulations, as they pertain to the management of critical cyber assets for electric utilities.

·          Updates maintenance and review records for regulatory compliance.

·          Creates documentation as needed for operational a regulatory processes.

 

Years	Minimum Skills/Experience:
7	Administering Linux system in enterprise environment
5	Administering Bind DNS, DHCP, and Syslog services
3	Creating, editing technical documentation
3	Scripting skills with shell scripts and a language such as Perl or Python
3	Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
3	Be able to configure multiple types of authentication
Years	Preferred Skills & Experience:
5	Administering Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls
3	Administering RSA en Vision
3	Administering federally regulated computer systems
3	Experience with clusters
3	Experience with Apache and SAMBA

 

Other Special Requirements (Preferred):

Practical understanding of NERC CIP regulations.

Ability to read and understand create technical documentation.

Experience supporting multiple Linux distros.

Applicant must be able to pass State of Texas background check.

 

Term Of Service:

Estimated 720 hours through September 30, 2012

 

Work hours and location:

8 am to 5 pm – Monday through Friday
